Jill Lesley was born in Columbia, South Carolina and grew up in the Atlanta Metro Area. She attended Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with honors.
Deciding to return to her birthplace, she attended the University of South Carolina School of Law where she graduated in May 2022. During her time at USC, she was a member of the Mock Trial Bar and a Senior Articles Editor with the Journal of Law and Education where her Student Note titled Discipline or Crime: An Analysis of the Use of Memoranda of Understanding to Regulate School Resource Officer Intervention in South Carolina Schools was published in Fall 2021. She further served as a Guardian Ad Litem for Richland County Family Court for two years and was a Student Attorney in the Juvenile Justice Clinic at USC Law. While in law school, Jill also clerked for two years for the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office Special Prosecutions Section which focused on the prosecution of human trafficking, sexual assault, and police misconduct.
Prior to joining the firm, Jill served as Judicial Law Clerk for The Honorable Grace G. Knie of the Seventh Judicial Circuit in Spartanburg and Cherokee Counties.
